Bears Head South
The Bears took over the South West starting Friday night with a huge contingent of Bears and Cubs enjoying dinner and a drink at the Dunsborough tavern, watching Cats get over the Bulldogs by 13 points before parting ways for the night.
Saturday, everyone headed to Swings and Roundabouts for an beautiful afternoon in the sun, unfortunately no one thought to invite the Sun so we got a little bit wet but a bit of rain didn’t dampen the spirits of the bears powering through enjoying the comradely, a few wines, Ales and nibbles in preparation for a big carnival the next day.
Bears Head South
With the biggest club comes the biggest tents and that it was, we had built an empire and the Bear Army was ready for battle. Starting the day with a warm up that consisted of no exercise but a shot of Fireball whiskey, a tradition now that no doubt will enter the book of Bear history and follow for years to come.
We had 2 Men’s Teams and 1 Woman’s Team all play 3 games each game consisting of 2 x 10 minute halves. Games were all competitive and played in great spirits, lots of laughs and sore bodies at the end of the Day.

Noted players for the carnival;
What a wonderful exhibition and showcase for the Bears it was, a huge success, lots of fun and definitely a must go for the years to come. Well Done by all that organised and everyone that attended, we look forward to an even bigger carnival in 2023.
